I created Kobbla

I’m a soul of nature and passionate about hiking. I prefer walking in silence through woods, along creeks, over barren stony beaches or impressive mountains.

Jumping and walking across rocks and boulders in creeks has become a special interest and an activity which I now inspire others to explore. During 2021 I am a student at the Adventure Academy and my mission is to find, map and document the best creek treks in Sweden. Being close to nature is important for me in my everyday life, with small and large adventures all year round to experience the beauty of every season. To cook over an open fire, keep company outdoors with the starlit sky as a roof is the best ending of an active day. I love logical challenges and to play board games, especially strategy games such as Chess, Reversi and Tantrix. Though, to carry these with you during a hike is a problem. Then Kobbla is really perfect. You need to bring only the lightweight fabric game board. Game pieces can be picked from nature in form of stones, cones, pieces of bark – yes, you decide. What you need is two different sorts of colours. Fourteen pieces of one sort and two of the other.

The personal game piece you jump with is called Kobb. I have chosen to design and create my own Kobb which I bring with me. That gives me a special feeling, and some luck I hope. The picture shows my Kobb which I have made from a piece of driftwood and burned my initials into. I usually hang it around my neck when going on a hike. Always prepared to play Kobbla.
