Here you can learn more about how to play KOBBLA.
Simple, yet very entertaining.

Your KOBBLA consists of:
A fabric game board divided into 6 x 8 squares.
14 white stones
2 black stones
1 booklet with game rules
Game concept – like jumping on stones in a creek
The idea is to exit your black stone (your Kobb) on the opposite side of the game board and to obtain a longer tail of white stones than your opponent gets when you finish. Your white stones will build a bridge that your black stone (your Kobb) will jump on over to the other side out of the game when you decide the time is ripe.
Playtime about 10 min. Level of complexity depends on the skill of the players.
Let the best Kobbler win!
Play Kobbla
Each player takes a black stone, the so called Kobb, and places six white stones at the short side of the game board plus two in the middle. The youngest player starts by making the first move.
At each move the player must:
Move a white stone
Move the black stone IF the player wants
White stone has to be moved first, after that the player may move their black stone if the player wants.
To move white stone
White stones may be moved forward, backward and sideways but must always first jump over another stone and then land on an empty square. They may not jump diagonally or by themselves (i.e. without first jumping via another white stone)
White stone can be moved as far as one wishes as long as it first jumps on another white stone in an adjacent square, then to an empty square, then to a white stone again and so on. White stone is not allowed to jump over several other white stones in a row but must always go via an empty square in between.
You may move any white stone as you please on the game board, as long as you abide by the rules for how they should be moved, i.e. you can choose to move a white stone on your opponent’s side.
To move black stone – your Kobb
Black stone may be moved forward, backward and sideways as far as you wish, but must always jump on white stones and always land on a white stone. Black stone must never jump diagonally or on empty squares and never land on an empty square.
Your black stone is you game piece, your personal Kobb, and must not be touched by your opponent. Neither are you allowed to jump over your opponent’s black stone. However, one is allowed to jump over one’s own or the opponent’s black stone with a white stone, as long as you follow the rules for moving a white stone..
To win Kobbla
When white stones lead out on the opposite side of the game board, you may, when it is your move, decide to jump out with your black stone (unless your opponent’s black stone is blocking the way).
You jump out of the game when you decide that the time has come. Don’t forget that you in your move always must move a white stone first, before you move your black stone. When you have jumped out with your black stone you even take with you your tail of white stones that lay behind you.
Your tail consists of the stones you can draw a single line from the place you jumped out on.
